Chhattisgarh Jail Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu had appointed 88 Non-Government Jail Visitors at the state jails. A notification for their appointment at 5 Central Jails, 13 District Jails and 15 Sub Jails of Chhattisgarh was issued on Saturday.
Non-Government Jail Visiting systems helps to bring in transparency into an otherwise extremely opaque facility. The appointments made under Rule 815 (1) of Jail Manual’s for a term of three years by State Home and Jail Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu. It’s a symbol of society’s participation in the Criminal-Justice System.
The notification reads that Non-Government Visitors appointed at the Central Jail Raipur are Teerath Yadav, Vedprakash Singh, Tulesh Sahu, Ashwini Rajput and Raju Pradeep Dubey. Central Jail Bilaspur- Ankit Singh Thakur, Sheikh Nizamuddin, Syed Mohammad Shah, Laxminath Sahu, Pushpendra Sharma and Sandeep Bajpayee, Central Jail Jagdalpur- Dinesh Yadu, Hori Prasad Mandal Dhrmuram Kashyap, Sarla Tiwari, Vijendra Thakur and Ugesh Chandra Markam, Central Jail Ambikapur- CD Kumar, Ajay Arun Minj, Jyoti Singh, Sunil Mishra, Sandeep Gupta and Nikhil Gupta, and Central Jail Durg -Omprakash Yadav, Ishwar Sonwan, Bharat Sahu, Nitu Singh, Gurlin Singh and Jai Dahariya as non-government visitors.
The Non-Government Visitors at District Jail Mahasamund are Tauqeer Dani and Shivananda Mahanti, District Jail Dhamtari- Lakhanlal Sahu, District Jail Raigarh Deepak Pandey, Rajiv Kaliya and Yatish Kumar Gandhi, District Jail Korba- Arun Sharma, District Jail Janjgir-Champa-Radheshyam Thawait, Thandaram Sande and Sandeep Thawait, District Jail Dantewada-Tulika Verma Radha Naag and Pradeep Gautam, District Jail Kanker-Vishram Gawde, Devendra Soni and Sunil Goswami, District Jail Baikunthpur-Harshwardhan Shukla, Rajendra Tiwari and Kamalkant Sahu, District Jail Jashpur- Rudradam Pathak and Suresh Agrawal, District Jail Bemetara-Jai Soni, Sheshnarayan Mishra and Naveen Tamrakar, District Jail Rajnandgaon-Ramesh Dakliya, Lalchand Sahu and Shameem Tigala and District Jail Kabirdham-Bilal Khan, Pitamber Verma and Sacchidanand Kesharwani.
