Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Nov 21
A joint squad of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and District Force (DF) arrested two ultras, including a cadre carrying cash reward of Rs 5 lakh, from separate locations in insurgency-hit Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Saturday.
According to police sources, the arrested naxals were identified as Korsa Dasru (45), a member of Madded Area Committee of outlawed, was arrested from his native village Savnar under Gangaloor police station limits, whereas Satyam Kattam (31) was held from Galgam village under Usoor police station.
Around two dozens of criminal cases, including murder, attempt of murder, loot, arson, damaging public property, Arms Act and others, were registered with separate police station against Dasru, said police sources, elaborating that he was associated with the banned organisation since 2006.
Dasru was carrying cash reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head while as many as 17 warrants were pending against him, informed police sources.
Police sources further informed that Kattam was a lower rank cadre and was allegedly involved in incident of looting and others.
