In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by three persons in Raipur.
The crime took place at Janta Colony under Gudhiyari police station limits on November 17, police said on Sunday.
The accused identified as Himanshu Gupta (21) and his two others allegedly kidnapped the minor girl and gangraped her on November 17, said police sources, adding that the accused youths were currently on run.
“On the pretext of ride, the accused allegedly took the victim to an isolated place at Janta Colony area in a car and exploited her sexually. The victim girl was also raped by two friends of Himanshu. Besides, the accused trio threatened the victim of dire consequences if she shares the incident with anyone,” said police sources.
As the victim narrated the entire incident to her related, a complaint was lodged with Gudhiyari police station on Sunday.
Following the complaint, Gudhiyari police registered an offence against the accused under Sections 376D (gang-rape), 376D(A), 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under relevant Sectionsof Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched a search for the absconding accused, said police sources.
