Bhilai, Khursipar Police has caught for circulation of child pornographic photographs on social media. The photos were uploaded around one and a half years ago.
Police took the action under Union Home Ministry’s Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children (CCPWC) on the basis of a complaint lodged and registered on the website of National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
The child pornographic images were uploaded in 2019, against which a complaint was lodged with the Police Head Quarters (PHQ), from where Bhilai Police was ordered act up on the complaint. Accused identified as Atul is a truck driver and lives in a rented accommodation.
NCRB had sent Chhattisgarh Police details regarding 80 child pornographic video on social media through mobile numbers of Chhattisgarh. There were 52 mobile numbers and 12 out of them were from Chhattisgarh and remaining 40 from other states. These numbers have been forwarded to the concerned states’ police.
The first arrest in a child pornography case was made around six months ago in Raipur. A joint team of Kharora Police and Cyber Cell had arrested one BBA student Ravindra from Tatibandh. The accused had uploaded a child pornography video in March 2019
