Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the thousands of agitating farmers camping on the Delhi border to oppose the three farming laws recently passed by the Union Government.
In a statement to the media, Union Home Minister assured farmers of the Centre giving deliberation on their every issues and demand. The Government will hold dialogue with the farmers’ union on December 3, 2020, and if the farmers want to talk earlier, they will need to shift the protest to at a government-designated site.
He assured that the moment farmer shift to the designated demonstration venue, Center will come to hold the dialogue the very next day.
Thousands of farmers loitering on the Delhi-Punjab border, braving the cold weather. Earlier in the day, the farmers clashed with police which used teargas and water cannons to stop from entering Delhi, but later allowed some of them. Now, the Center has fixed a spot for their sit-in and protest without causing much trouble to the common public. But, many protestors have refused the offer of designated demonstration venue and continue to camp outside the national capital as the situation remained tense.
