Asks to probe and report on the deaths of children in Shahdol
Bhopal, Nov 30
Taking the deaths of children in Shahdol seriously, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the officials Health Department to probe the incident and submit the report at earliest.
If doctors and staff would be found guilty, they will be punished, said CM Shivraj.
Chairing a meeting today, the Chief Minister gave specific instructions that if there is any shortfall in the arrangements for the treatment of children, they should be removed at earliest. There should be proper arrangement of ventilators and other equipment. If necessary, patients should be treated by taking the services of specialist doctors.
Chief Minister Shivraj further said that in the case of children’s death in Shahdol, it should be investigated whether any negligence was the cause of tragedy. Officials of the health department of the district, division and the capital should take this incident seriously and if necessary, send medical experts from Jabalpur to treat such child patients.
Chief Minister Shivraj said that it is very important to save people’s lives. Arrangements should be inspected in all hospitals.
Chief Minister said that the health department team should remain alert and cautious while keeping an eye on pneumonia etc. in patients specially children suffering from diseases other than Corona. Such incidents should not be repeated.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman said that reports have been sought from the doctors of Shahdol Hospital. Action will be taken against those found guilty of negligence.
Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Principal Secretary Chief Minister Manish Rastogi and others were present in the meeting.
