The protests by farmers have spilled into the entertainment industry as now Mika Singh has also jumped into the fray between Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh on micro blogging site Twitter.
While the celebrities engaged in a war of words, trolls having a field day on social media. Many other artists like Himanshi Khurrana, singer Mika Singh and Sargun Mehta have also voiced their support to Diljit. Even the Punjabi film industry has stood in support of him.
Sargun Mehta tweeted “Jaise Aapko apni baat kehna ka haqq hai hai inhein bhi hai. Bass farak yeh hai ki aap bina baat aur maksad ke bolti hain aur yeh apne haqq ke liye ladd rahein hain.” Sarguna said this in reply to Kangana’s tweet, “Shame…..in the name of farmers har koi apni rotiyaan sek raha hai, hopefully, government won’t allow anti-national elements to take advantage and create another Shaheen Baag riots for bloodthirsty vultures and tukde gang.”
In one of her tweet, Kangana said ” Film mafia filed many cases on me, last night Javed Akhtar filed one more, Maharashtra government filing one case every hour now congress in Punjab is also joined the gang…. Lagta hai mujhe mahan banake he dum lenge, Thank you” To which Mika Singh responded saying, ” Par beta aapka target Kya hai ye tau samajh aaye, you are a talented beautiful girl aap acting karo na yar .. suddenly itni desh bhagti wo bhi twitter and news pe ..”
The War between Diljit and Kangana was triggered when Kangana Ranaut posted a meme of an elderly woman, who she mistook as Shaheen Bagh’s Bilkis Bano, and wrote she was getting Rs 100 for protesting. She later deleted the tweet, but the fire was also set and an angry Diljit Dosanjh came back with even a harsher response.
