Nitya Pandey, a recent student of School of Studies (SoS) in Physics and Astrophysics, Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) Raipur, has been selected for PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) Programme at Department of Astronomy, University of Chile. During her (master of Science (MSc), She was selected for (Indian National Science Academy) INSA summer fellowship to carry out a project at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Then, she was selected at (Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), Nainital for her MSc dissertation. After completion of MSc, She was selected at International Space University, France for short term Space Studies Program with prestigious Kalpana Chawla Fellowship of 16000 Euros. This is the second consecutive time, when the students of SoS in Physics and Astrophysics are getting selected at University of Chile. Priyanjali Patel was selected earlier and successfully working there. Chile is known for hosting world class Astronomical facilities with large telescopes and observatories.
Nitya belongs to Kondagaon of Chhattisgarh. Selection of these students at International Platform from a place like Chhattisgarh marks the quality of teaching at PRSU Raipur. Also, now the Girl students are not hesitating going for research work in the field of Science in International Universities.
