Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chhattisgarh unit will extend its support to the Bharat Bandh, called by farmer organisations, on Tuesday.
State President Komal Hupendi, Secretary Uttam Jaiswal, AAP Kisan Cell president advocate Shatruhan Sahu and other senior party leaders on Monday said that there was an uproar in the entire country over the ‘black’ law passed unconstitutionally by the central government to bring the farmers under the capitalists, leading to agitation by farmers’ organisations across the country. Demand to withdraw the law is being made for the last three months and AAP stands with the farmers, he said. The government is only playing delaying tactics in the name of dialogue with the farmer organisations, he said.
Sahu further said that if the government wants to increase the income of the farmers, then there should not be any problem to issue legal rights to the Minimum Support Price (MSP). In fact, the government has brought an anti-farmer law at the behest of big corporate houses. On December 8, nationwide shutdown has been called by the farmer organisations and AAP will fully support the same. He said that APP demands from the government withdrawal of interest of farmers.
