Governor discusses issues of coaching institute with School Education Minister

A delegation of Chhattisgarh Educational Coaching Association met the Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Monday and explained their problems. In response, the Governor described their problems as genuine. Covid-19 has certainly created crisis for all including education sector.

The Governor discussed the matter with the School Education Minister Dr Premasai Singh Tekam at the same time and said that the teachers who teach in the coaching institutes are getting affected due to the closure of the coaching centers, as well as the students are facing problems. Therefore, in view of all these, the problem should be solved by following the instructions given by the Central Government and the protocols prescribed to avoid Corona infection. If necessary, the government should meet the parents and the coaching institute directors and discuss with them to find a way to solve the problems of all.

Association secretary Bharat Bhambhani told the Governor that all the coaching centers have been closed for a longer period due to Covid-19, except for reputed coaching institutes. There are medium coaching institutes where children of middle class families get coaching, livelihood of teachers and other staff depends on it. With the closure of the means of income, the problem of livelihood has arisen in front of them. Hostels and other institutions are also affected due to the closure of the coaching institutes. Other institutions like hotels, restaurants have been allowed to open. Therefore, coaching centres can be allowed to open for the larger interest of the society. Abhishek Rai and other representatives of the association were present on the occasion.
