The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy sponsored one week online faculty development programme on “Green Technology and Sustainability Engineering” was inaugurated on Tuesday at NIT Raipur. FDP is organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Coordinators for the programme are Dr Nisha Netam and Dr Vivek Kumar Gaba. The Chief Patron for the program is Dr A M Rawani, Director, NIT Raipur while Dr Shubhrata Gupta presided over.
The FDP was inaugurated by Professors Dr R Salhotra and Dr S Sanyal from NIT Raipur and Dr Deepak Waikar, EduEnergy Consultants Singapore. The course is aimed at providing a forum for understanding the Energy Scenario, Sustainable clean and Green energy technology, and physics of building and Green building.
Prof Salhotra in his address stressed on need for green technology for saving the nature. Prof Sanyal enlightened the audience about the topic as the need of the hour. He reminded the participants about our responsibility towards nurturing the environment by adopting the green technology which helps in reducing the pollution. Dr Deepak Waikar absolutely made clear opinion about green living as means of cutting down our waste and reduce our energy consumption.
Faculties, research scholars and industry persons participated in large numbers in this program. The coordinators of the program organised the lectures related to the theme which are delivered by leading experts from the institutes of international recognition like IITs, NITs, Foreign Universities and also from the industries.
