Sukma’s ‘Imli Chaska’ captures markets of Delhi, Visakhapatnam

The ‘Imli Chaska’, manufactured by Aranya Processing Cooperative Society, Sukma, is fast capturing the markets across India due its quality and taste. People across India are demanding the product. Since the launch of the Imli Chaska (tamarind product) by Tribes India, orders are pouring in from many big cities of the country.

In the same sequence, Sukma District Collector Vinit Nandanwar flagged off the tamarind chaska produced by Aranya Processing Cooperative Society for sale across the country. He encouraged the members of the Society and wished to continue production of Chaska. The tamarind chutney made in Sukma district is being liked all over the country.

The manager of Aranya Processing Cooperative Society said that tamarind Chaska has already been sent to other big cities of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Odisha, Sikkim, Uttarakhand. At the same time, Chaska has been supplied in Korba, Bemetra and Raipur districts of the state. This time a consignment of about 2500 packets has been sent to TRIFED (Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation) of India, Delhi and Visakhapatnam along with Raipur. Due to which the Society will earn Rs 65,000. In the last two months, 5100 bottles and pouches of Sukma’s Tamarind Chaska have been sold through TRIFED, due to which the Society has earned about Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand. Along with this, orders of 30-40 thousand have been given by the retailers of Kirandul, Jagdalpur, Bacheli and Raipur. Online orders are also being taken by TRIFED to reach Tamarind Chaska to the customers through e-commerce website www.tribesindia.com.
