Special campaign must be launched to hit the roots
Be sympathetic towards children, help them to stop drug abuse with affection

Chief Minister Chouhan has said that those who trade in drugs and narcotics are enemies of humanity, they should not be spared under any circumstances. Strict action should be taken against drug mafia in the state. For this, a special campaign should be launched to attack their roots.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the campaign, special care should be taken to ensure that there is no leniency with drug dealers and those dealing in narcotics, a sympathetic attitude should be adopted towards child addicts and efforts must be made to help them get rid of addiction with love, the police should not deal with them aggressively. Full cooperation of the Department of Social Justice and voluntary organizations should also be taken to help addicts in de-addiction and for their rehabilitation.
Chief Minister Chouhan was taking a meeting of high officials in connection with the launching of anti-drugs campaign in the state at his residence today. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajaura were present in the meeting.
Special anti-drugs campaign from 15 to 22 December
The Narcotics Control Bureau, Government of India has proposed to conduct a special anti-drugs campaign from December 15 to December 22. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that intensive campaign should be conducted in the state and those who are engaged in drug trafficking should be eliminated.
Government of India gives list of 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh
The Narcotics Control Bureau of the Government of India has sent a list of 15 districts of the state, where drug trafficking is high. These districts are Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Ratlam, Gwalior, Satna, Sagar, Datia and Rewa. Apart from this, Vidisha, Pipariya, Agar-Malwa region is also sensitive. More cases have been reported in all these areas.
Drug trade has roots in India and abroad
Chief Minister Chouhan said that commendable action has been taken by the police against drug mafia in Indore and other districts of the state. The so-called “Drug wali aunty” of Indore is also connected to Delhi, Goa, Mumbai and Nigeria. Chief Minister Chouhan gave clear instructions that the drug mafia should be uprooted and totally annihilated.
Supply in some gyms, pubs, clubs, college canteens etc.
Cases of attempts being made near some places to supply drugs and narcotics have been reported in gyms, pubs, clubs, colleges canteens, schools etc. Chief Minister Chouhan said that strict action should be taken in this regard. Hookah lounges will also not be operated in the state.
Chemical Drugs Extremely Dangerous
Chief Minister Chouhan said that chemicals are extremely dangerous. While a major case of chemical drug supply in Indore has come to light, cases of supply of smack have been reported in Bhopal, Vidisha, Bhind, Ujjain, Ratlam etc. The public should be made aware of the ill effects of drugs.
