Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Raipur successfully conducted One week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Green Technology and Sustainability Engineering”, held from December 8 to 12.
The programme was sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. The Faculty Coordinators for the programme were Dr Nisha Netam and Dr Vivek Kumar Gaba. The Chief Patron for the programme is was Dr A M Rawani, Director, NIT Raipur while Dr Shubhrata Gupta presided over as the Patron for the event.
Several eminent speakers enlightened the participants with their case studies related to the theme. The event concluded with the valedictory session on Dec 12 where the guests were Er. Deepak Gadhia, Chairman, Solar Thermal, Sunrise CSP India Pvt. Ltd, Dr R Salhotra (HOD Mechanical), Dr A K Tiwari (Professor, Mechanical). The feedback received by the participant attendees for the programme is immense. Over 180 participants from all over the country have participated in a week long FDP programme.
On the final day of the FDP, Dr Nisha Netam, Asst Professor, NIT Raipur addressed about “physics of building and Green building technology. The last talk of the 5-day FDP ended with a life skill session by Akanksha Naik (Yoga trainer & Art of living National teacher) on the topic “Life management, Stress management and Meditation which will help the participants for a better living. The Speakers for the FDP were from institutes of International repute like the IITs, NITs, Foreign Universities and reputed industrial organization.
