Gram panchayat Chandkhuri and Jugesar have been merged to form Nagar Panchayat Chandkhuri, district Raipur. A gazette notification to this effect has been published on December 11, 2020. The decision was taken under Section 5 of Chhattisgarh Nagar Palika Adhiniyam 1961.
The District Collector, Dr S Bharathi Dasan, has issued the abovementioned order and invited claims and objections on the decision within 12 days from the date of publication of the notification.
The total population of Chandkhuri is 3341 while the population of Jugesar is 1071.
Similarly, Mandir Hasaud has been given the status of Nagar Panchayat by merging four gram panchayats. The gram panchayats merged are Mandir Hasaud (12807 population), Chhatouna (1499 population), Nakta (3472 population) and Kurud M (3279 population). Any person or any local authority may submit his/her objection/suggestion in writing to the Collector of Raipur on any official day and time within 12 days from the date of publication in Chhattisgarh Rajpatra.
In another notification, Samoda has been given the status of Nagar Panchayat by merging gram panchayats Samoda, Kagdehi and Kusmund. The population of these gram panchayats are 3003, 2261 and 1643 respectively.
