A deputy commander of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), an elite unit of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who was injured in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast dies at a private hospital in Raipur on Monday.
Deputy Commandant Vikas Kumar, who was injured in an IED blast in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, died in wee hours today, said police sources.
Police sources further informed that while defusing an IED planted by ultras in the limits of Kistaram police station limits, it exploded leaving the officer belonging from 208th battalion of the force injured. The injured deputy commandant, who was airlifted to the state capital for better medical assistances, breathed last in the private hospital during the treatment.
