Rashtriya Kisan Morcha (RKM) and Rashtriya Voter Jagriti Manch (RVJM) on Monday burnt the effigy of Dhamtari MLA as a mark of protest against anti-farmer law of the Centre.

The farmers formed a human chain at Ghadi Chowk to demand the withdrawal of the three agricultural laws and later reached the SDM office to submit a memorandum, addressing the President of India. A delegation reached the residence of the local MLA to discuss the agricultural law. The delegation members were allegedly made to wait  for hours at the gate of MLA’s residence which irked them . The delegation and farmers returned back shouting slogans but on the contrary Dhamtari MLA Ranjana showing his double character, having photographed ‘aarti  thali’ in hand, got the false news published in various newspapers that she kept waiting for the farmers with Chhattisgarhi dishes and the farmers did not reach.
