Congress MLA from Raipur West and Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay on Wednesday highlighted the development works dine in his constituency, day before the completion of two years of Chief Congress government in the state on Thursday.
Upadhyay said that over Rs 200 crore development works has been initiated for the all-round development in his constituency. Roads, drains, cleanliness, electrification and other development works have been accomplished within two years. CCTV cameras have been installed at 90 important locations of his constituency.
“Sambhav Hai…” campaign has been launched in cooperation with “Police Mitra” in the constituency which is first of its kind in the state, Upadhyay said. Drinking water problem, which had been a major issue in his constituency, has been solved. Pipelines have been laid in various areas of the constituency to ensure supply of drinking water. Water tank situated at Bharat Mata Chowk has been linked with rising line because of it, thousands of families from Ashok Nagar, Khamtarai, Gudhiyari, Shivanand Nagar, Jagriti Nagar, Shitala para, Satnami Para, Pahadi Chowk, Tulsi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Diksha Nagar are getting benefitted.
Health infrastructures have been improved in the constituency and patients from Raipur West assembly constituency are getting benefit of government health schemes including Dr Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Yojana.
Around 7 lakh migrant workers, who passed through the limit of the Raipur West assembly constituency, were sent during the lockdown period enforced in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic to their destinations. All kinds of helps are being provided to corona patients in Raipur West assembly constituency.
A booklet on development works carried out within two years in Raipur West Assembly constituency was released by the MLA and other guests present on the occasion. The guests present were Raipur Municipal Corporation Speaker Pramod Dubey, Mayor-in-Council (MIC) members Gyanesh Sharma, Shri Kumar Menon, Urban District Congress Committee (UDCC) Raipur President Girish Dubey, Ajit Kukreja and other corporators were present in the press conference.
