Corona infection rate reduced

Bhopal, Dec 18

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the infection rate of Corona virus is constantly on the decline in all the districts of the state, but caution must not be reduced under any circumstance. Continuous monitoring should be ensured through Corona Control Centres. Patients suffering from other diseases should also be treated with utmost seriousness. Sick children should get good treatment.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing preventive measures being taken against Corona infection. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officials were present in the meeting.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that everyone should wear masks, maintain safe distance and ensure cleanliness by washing hands frequently to prevent Corona infection.

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the officers in charge of state-level districts should be in constant contact with the districts under their charge. Live contact must be maintained with Corona patients in home isolation.

Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman told that as per instructions, adequate number of beds are being made available to patients suffering from other diseases in medical college hospitals. There is adequate availability of beds, oxygen and ventilators in government and private hospitals for Corona infected patients.

At present, there are 12156 active corona cases in Madhya Pradesh which is less than before. Last week, 1360 Corona positive cases were being reported daily which is now reduced to 1151 cases. The average positivity rate is 5.4 percent. The fatality rate is 1.5 percent. The total number of positive cases in Madhya Pradesh so far is 2 lakh 27 thousand 949.
