Bhopal, Dec 18
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave elaborate instructions regarding the four-tier farmer welfare programme and sammelans going to be held in the state on December 18.
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the collectors through video conference to complete all preparations for these programmes on a war footing and pass the information to the farmers today itself.
The state level Maha Sammelan will be held in Raisen in which Chief Minister Chouhan will also take part. Other Sammelans will be held at the district, block and gram panchayat level.
Chief Minister Chouhan asked the collectors to ensure that the Kisan Sammelan are a success. The relief amount for the loss of crops in Kharif 2020 will be transferred to the accounts of the farmers in the Kisan Sammelan. About 35 lakh 50 thousand farmers will be benefited from this.
Chief Minister Chouhan will participate in the state level main event in Raisen where 20 thousand farmers are expected to take part. In other districts, ministers will distribute relief amount to the farmers during the programme. Similar programmes will also be held at the block and rural level.Key instructions
- Benefits should also be provided to cattle rearers, fishermen etc. along with distribution of relief amount to the farmers.
- The work of distribution of Kisan Credit Card should also be done.
- The Agriculture, Rural Department, Revenue Department should particularly give final shape to the preparations of the programme.
- Other departments should also cooperate.
- CM told to make efforts to connect maximum number of farmers to the programme.
- Maintain social distancing and be cautious.

After the Chief Minister’s address, Prime Minister Shri Modi will address the farmers through a video conference at around 2 pm. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that along with this, programmes of dedication and foundation laying of works related to agricultural development will also be held. Detailed information about the provisions of farmer laws will be provided in the sammelans. About 1000 farmers will take part in the sammelans from each district. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the sammelans will be broadcast live through various regional channels and webcasts. He directed that the preparations for the sammelan should be given final shape today only.
