IIIT-NR set to host school student-centric SCIηTFIC-2021

Gearing up for its upcoming Spring semester, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Naya Raipur is all set to host the fourth edition of its school student-centric annual event SCIηTFIC-2021: Science & Technology over Fiction, on January 28, 2021.

“SCIηTFIC” is a science  & technology showcase and exhibition designed for school students across the nation. It aims to motivate the students to learn about the latest technological advancements and innovations happening in and around the world. SCInTFIC works towards projecting a  positive image of technology in their minds by empowering them to develop strategic use-cases to solve real-world problems.

After three successful years of SCIηTFIC  the fourth edition will follow in a virtual mode in light of the current pandemic scenario. Just like the previous years, SCIηTFIC 2021 invites entries for IDEATHON 3.0. Students from class 1-12 are encouraged to participate and demonstrate their innovative ideas across various themes designated for the event this year. There are a total of eight themes this year namely- Zero Waste Living, Disaster Management, Post-Covid Challenges, Women and Child Safety, Smart Education, Smart Phones and Smart Living, Healthcare and Sanitation, and Agricultural and Rural Development.

Keeping the safety of the participants in mind, this year the students can participate from the comfort of their homes as IDEATHON 3.0 has gone virtual/online. Owing to the closure of the schools, if the students are unable to make the working models/prototypes of their ideas, they can still participate by submitting their idea-based solutions explaining how it could be helpful in solving different societal problems. The excitement doesn’t end here,  IIIT Naya Raipur believes in motivating the participants by acknowledging and rewarding their efforts. The winning teams stand a chance to win several exciting prizes.
