The new strain of Wuhan Coronavirus reared its fatal head in September is spreading rapidly and has gone out of control in the UK. It’s 70 per cent more transmissible than the earlier strain. Luckily though, there is no evidence yet to indicates that the new strain has higher mortality rate or it adversely affects to vaccines and therapy developed till date, but the research was still going on to confirm the theory.
The UK Authorities have put tighter restrictions ahead of the Christmas festival. The 16 million Britons have once again put in lockdown enforced from Sunday. Several parts of England will remain in strictest curbs until a vaccine is available. There will no relaxation is lockdown rules in Christmas. Socializing of house-holds is proscribed in affected parts to prevent the new strain from spreading further.
