Condolence pour in for Motilal Vora; Governor, CM, Speaker and other leaders describe demise of Vora as big loss for nation

Governor Anusuiya Uikey, Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and other senior leaders of Chhattisgarh expressed profound grief over the demise of former chief minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh Motilal Vora. He was 93.

Expressing deep condolence over the death of former Governor and former Chief Minister Vora who was also the Treasurer of AICC for a longer period, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that Vora had set high standard for him in public life. He was an affable and simple person. The country lost a great leader. The Governor consoled the family members of Vora.

Calling Vora as ‘Babuji’, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said not only Chhattisgarh, but also entire Congress family has lost its ‘guardian’ in the form of Voraji. Expressing deep condolence, Baghel said that Voraji was a grassroot level leader and established himself in the national politics through his hard work and dedication. Voraji was a guide for Congress workers of undivided Madhya Pradesh and now Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister prayed for the peace of the departed soul of Vora and consoled the family members. Voraji had played a pivotal role for the overall development of Chhattisgarh. He was a journalist first. The Chief Minister also shared a photo of him with Vora in his tweeter handle.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant said that Motilal Vora had been a father figure for him. “His patronage was my success. The entire nation lost a great personality in the form of Voraji. I suffered a setback in my personal life,” said the Speaker.

“We all will miss a guide. The death of former Governor and Union Minister Motilal Vora is a huge loss for all of us. He was a brilliant administrator, journalist and a political worker. Voraji will always in memory,” said Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik.

Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that the news came as a shock for him. He had always been the voice of Chhattisgarh. He paid tributes to Voraji.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president Mohan Markam said that Voraji had been giving shadow like a banyan tree. “We learn how to walk from Voraji,” said Markam.

Senior BJP leader Ramvichar Netam said he was shocked to know about the death of Motilal Voraji. Voraji served Congress with various capacity.
