Around 19 lakh unemployed registered in state as on Nov 30, 2020


A total of 18,90,620 unemployed were registered in the state as on November 30, 2020, said State Higher and Technical Education Minister Umesh Patel in reply to a question asked in the Chhattisgarh Assembly by MLA Shailesh Pandey on the second day of the Winter Session of the House on Tuesday. Pandey asked for district-wise data of unemployed registered in the state as on November 30, 2020.

Furnishing details, Patel said in the House that the highest 1,57,339 unemployed persons are registered in Balod district followed by 1,41,554  unemployed are registered in Durg, 1,18,589 in Bilaspur, 114598 in Rajnandgaon, 1,13,799 in Raigarh and 1,10,421 unemployed youths are registered in Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Similarly, 87000 unemployed people are registered in Ambikapur, 9231 in Bijapur, 71,528 registered in Dhamtari, 17122 in Dantewada, 66678 in Jagdalpur, 66706 in Jashpur, 77962 in Kanker, 73839 in Korba, 30900 in Kabirdham, 30940 in Manendragarh,  37148 in Mahasamund, 18869 in Narayanpur, 81447 in Raipur,  80114 in Bemetara, 49403 in Balrampur, 61822 in Baloda Bazaar, 42665 in Gariaband, 64374 in Kondagaon, 81666 in Mungeli, 72321 in Surajpur, 11650 in Sukma, 935 unemployed are registered in Gurela-Pendra-Marwahi district.
