Prime Minister Narendra Modi to flag-off nation’s first driverless metro train on December 28.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off nation’s first fully-automatic (driverless) Metro Train on December 28, 2020, informed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

In an official statement, DMRC Corporate Communication Executive Director Anuj Dayal said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be flagging off the country’s first-ever fully automated Driverless Train service on the 37 KM-Magenta Line (Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden) and will also be launching the fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for travel on the 23 KM Airport Express Line (New Delhi to Dwarka Sector 21) on 28th December 2020.

DMRC had opened its first corridor between Shahdara and Tees Hazari on December 25. Delhi Metro also completed 18 years since the commencement of services.
