Taking strict action against the accused of the terrifying stone-pelting on Ramnidhi Sangrahan Yatra, Madhya Pradesh Police along with Ujjain Municipal Corporation team demolished the house from where a Muslim mob pelted stones on the Yatra at Begumbagh area of Ujjain earlier in the day.
The Ramnidhi Sangrahan procession was taken out Hindus to collect donations for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Some women and children pelted stones at the people taking out Yatra while it was passing through the Begumbagh area.
Police and Ujjai Municipal Corporation took a swift and stringent action as they reached the spot and started razing down the unauthorized structure with a backhoe loader. The rally started from Tower area and was destined to reach Bharat Mata Mandir at Mahakal area. As the procession was passing through the Muslim-dominated area of Begumbagh, a mob attacked the procession participants by hurling stones from terraces. Hindus in rally scuttled to take cover by abandoning their vehicles on the spot.
A video of the incident which went viral on social media revealed the horrific unfolding of the stone-pelt by women and young kids. Around a dozen Hindus sustained serious wounds. As the people ran away, the mob brazenly vandalized the vehicles.
