South East Central Railway (SECR) Football Club defeated Elite Football Club by 2-0 goals in a match played here on Sunday under the ongoing District Club League Football Championship 2020-21. It was the second match of the tournament, organised by Raipur District Football Association, played at Outdoor Stadium, Budhatalab, on Sunday.
Tushar opened the account for SECR FC in the 15th minute of the match while the second goal came from Jagdish in the 89th minute of the match.
Gajbhushan Tendi was the match commissioner. Preetam Yadav was the centre referee while Gopi Nishad and Kavita Sahu were assistant referees. Gayatri Sahu and Chitrani Dhankar were the match officials.
On the opening day of the tournament on Saturday, WRS FC defeated ATK Junior Champions Club.
Raipur District Football Association president Mustaque Ali Pradhan said that only registered players are participating in the tournament which is important from their career point of view. The matches will be played every Saturday and Sunday, he said.
