In the thick of farmers’ protest on Delhi border, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again flown off to Milan, Italy on a Qatar Airlines flight, likely to celebrate New Year.
Rahul Gandhi’s vacation trip comes a few days after he along with a couple of opposition leaders called on President Ramnath Kovind to demand to repeal of the three new farm laws and a day ahead of Congress’s foundation day.
Punjab Congress has been supplying logistical supports to the agitating farmers who have blocked the National Capital for over a month now. Congress is one of the opposition parties berating BJP for passing the farm laws. Rahul Gandhi also skipped debate on farm laws, citing the ill-health of Sonia Gandhi. His frequent foreign tours have been a point of contention among senior Congress leaders.
Congress party confirmed that Rahul Gandhi has gone for a short trip to abroad for a personal reason. However, the party didn’t reveal his destination. The sources, however, said Rahul Gandhi has flown to Milan, Italy.
