KIAL employee KL Ramesh made a critical remark against Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan on a Facebook post in connection to the Supreme Court’s decision. KIAL cracked down on Ramesh KL for exercising his freedom of expression entitled to him by the Indian Constitution. The airport authority set up on an enquiry before issuing a show-cause notice to him. According to KIAL authority’s investigative report, Ramesh KL infringed up on disciplinary norms by criticizing the Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, who just to happens to be the chairman of KIAL.

Ramesh KL did respond to the show-cause notice, but it was not enough to convince KIAL Managing Director V Thulasidas, who terminated Ramesh KL from the service. KL Ramesh was an assistant manager at the Fire and Rescue Wing of KIAL.
