Put into bat by Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh could score 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. All-rounder Vishal Singh Kushwaha remained the highest scorer as he hit 31 off 29 including three sixes and one four. Another all-rounder Ajay Mandal contributed the second highest to the total as he scored 26 off 21 including five fours. Similarly, Sumit Ruikar made 24 off 14 as he hit one six and two fours while captain Harpreet Singh Bhatia scored 13 off 14, Parivesh Dhar made 11 off 18 and hero of the second match Rishabh Tiwari scored 11 off 12. Kuldeep Sen, Mihir Hirwani claimed two scalps each of Chhattisgarh while Ishwar Pandey, Puneet Dattey took one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 138, Madhya Pradesh achieved it in the 16.1 overs of the innings for the loss of five wickets. Rajat Patidar played a blistering knock of 79 in just 37 balls including five sixes and six fours and he remained unbeaten in the match. Similarly, Himanshu Mantri contributed 21. Ravi Kiran took three wickets for Chhattisgarh while Vir Pratap Singh and Parivesh Dhar took one wicket each.

It is to be mentioned, Chhattisgarh is playing four practice matches against Madhya Pradesh ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to be played at Baroda in January first week.
