Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) Senior team registered a thrilling one wicket victory against hosts Madhya Pradesh in the fourth T-20 match, played at Indore on Wednesday. All-rounder Ajay Mandal played a heroic knock of 81 in 47 balls (unbeaten) and claimed one wicket to ensure the visitors Chhattisgarh reach home safe.
Winning the toss, the hosts opted to bat first as they posted 151 for nine in the stipulated 20 overs. Arpit Goud scored the highest 35 off 22 including 2 sixes and four fours for Madhya Pradesh while Rishabh Chouhan made 34 off 28 including one six and three fours. Similarly, Surendra Malviya scored 30 off 27 and he hit two sixes and Venkatesh Iyer scored 24 off 15 as he hit two sixes. Spinner Sumit Ruikar and Anand Rao claimed two wickets each for Chhattisgarh while Ravi Kiran, Ajay Mandal, Subham Agrawal and Sourabh Khairwar took one wicket each.
Chasing the target of 154, Chhattisgarh registered victory in the last ball of the innings and they lost nine wickets in their efforts. All-rounder Ajay Mandal remained hero of the match as he scored unbeaten 81 off 47. He hit four sixes and 8 fours. Similarly, Shashank Chandrakar scored 20 off 12 including one six. Madhya Pradesh bowler Avesh Khan and Parth Sahani took two wickets each. Similarly, Puneet Datey, Kumar Kartikey, Surendra Malviya took one wicket each.
