Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur will be introducing its Executive Post Graduate Program (ePGP) in Management from first week of January 2021. The virtual inauguration of the programme would take place on January 3, 2021 while the regular classes would commence from January 6. The blended mode ePGP programme have two campus immersion of five days each, while the rest of the classes would be in a live online interactive mode.
The main objective of the programme is to prepare working executives to take up higher responsibilities within their respective organizations without hampering their professional engagement within their organizations.
This two-year programme would have batch strength of around 200. The entire programme is spread over six terms and one additional mini term wherein students would have opportunity to work on a mini dissertation with faculty members. The mini term would also have an integrated business simulation. The duration of each term will be around (3.5 – 4) months in a manner that majority of classes would be held on every weekend with a few classes on weekdays.
The programme would have participants from many reputed private and public sector enterprises belonging to diverse domains including mining, management consulting, software, automobiles, hospitality services, healthcare, power sector etc. to name a few. The programme offers a holistic blend of various general management theories, soft skills, and analytical methods over 900 hours of teaching and a total of 1020 contact hours. The 24 months ePGP include Core/Foundation, advanced and Elective courses.
Core Courses: Foundation courses will focus on creating a strong base of understanding the fundamental principles of effective management in modern business organizations. This section will also focus on developing understanding of the businesses in increasingly globalized economic and political environment thus helping to crystallize the fundamental, conceptual and analytical knowledge.
Advanced Core Courses: Advanced level courses will prepare students for taking up higher responsibilities and leadership position. This would enhance the leadership and decision-making skills of working executives to work in a cross-cultural and globalized environment.
Elective Courses: The elective courses are aimed to provide participants the flexibility such that they can tailor their course selection as per their career goals and academic interests.
The selection process is designed to ensure significant diversity in academic, business, and cultural background considering potential candidates’ academic attainments, team orientation, perspective on conflict resolution among other factors. The minimum eligibility for the program is a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with two years of professional experience.
