IN yet another gruesome incident, three youths were killed while four others including a child were wounded when a recklessly- driven bike had an head down collision with a car near Pipartarai located about 40-kilometers away from the district headquarters on Saturday evening.
All the injured have been admitted in the hospital where their conditions are reported to be serious.
Both the car driver and another person on board escaped from the spot after the incident and are absconding.
Kota police, under whose jurisdiction the area comes, took possession of the bodies and sent them for autopsy. Police have registered an offence and started investigations.
According to information, the car driver and another person on board were coming towards Kota to admit a serious patient in hospital.
When they reached near Pipartarai, three drunken youths coming from the opposite direction on a bike rammed into the car in full speed.
As the youths, all residents of village Chilfi and Lokhandi, were under the influence of alcohol, they were unable to control the bike while negotiating with the car coming from the opposite direction.
The accident was so severe that all the three youths were killed on the spot and their bike completely smashed.
Meanwhile, the car driver while trying to save the youths collided with another bike coming from the opposite direction on wrong side.
A Police Constable, his wife and child boarded on the other bike were wounded along with a villager who was bicycling towards his village behind the bikers.
All the injured have been admitted in the hospital where their conditions are critical according to the doctors.
Both the car driver and the other person on board abandoned the vehicle and the serious patient after the incident and fled from the scene. They are still at large. Kota Police that rushed to the spot after information took possession of the bodies and sent them for autopsy. The sleuths also arranged a vehicle and wheeled the patient to hospital. Kota Police seized the damaged car, both the bikes and the bicycle and have registered an offence. Further investigations are on. So far no arrest has been made.
