Green Care Society India has launched a campaign to push for its demand to launch a full-time television channel in Chhattisgarhi language. The Society has submitted a memorandum to the Governor Anusuiya Uikey and the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel urging for their intervention in the matter. The campaign is being led by Vishwanath Panigrahi, President of Green Care Society India.
In this context, a three-member delegation, including Vishnu Mahananda, Gopi Sahu, met Khallari MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Dwarkadhish Yadav in Bagbahara and submitted a memorandum, addressing the Chief Minister. Another memorandum was given to Secretary Amrit Khalko in the name of Governor.
Panigrahi said that it has been 20 years since the establishment of Chhattisgarh and the people of the state do not yet have a full-time television channel in Chhattisgarh. The campaign of the society is very clear. “We have not yet met the Chief Minister in this regard, we are confident that the day the Chief Minister will meet, he will take a positive decision on this and definitely Chhattisgarhi television channel will be set up,” said Panigrahi.
