FDP on Electrical and Computer Engineering begins

A five-day online faculty development programme on “Electrical and Computer Engineering” is being organized by the Electrical Engineering Department of NIT Raipur. The programme, , sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL), has begun on Monday and will continue till January 8.

The main objective of this training programme is to develop a strong foundation for research in engineering/science fields. Under this program, Practical information on the design and implementation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) based schemes/systems and various applications of AI in the field of computer and electrical engineering are going to be discussed.

Lectures have been organized on a wide range of topics such as AI,  Deep Learning, Convolution Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Optimization Algorithms, Signal Processing, AI in Medical, Microgrid and Smart grid,  practical information on the design and implementation of AI-based systems which are to be given by eminent professors of the country.

The programme began with session by Dr Bhavesh R Bhalja, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee followed by Dr Arnab Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering NIT Rourkela

 The inauguration ceremony was led by, Dr A M Rawani, Director, NIT Raipur and Dr. Shubhrata Gupta, Dean (R&C), Dr N D Londhe, HoD electrical. The programme was coordinated by Dr Anamika Yadav, Associate Professor and Dr Shubhrata Gupta, Professor ,of the Electrical Engineering Department, NIT Raipur.
