A delegation of Chhattisgarh Lecturer Union submitted a memorandum to Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation (CMDC) Chairman and Congress vice president Girish Dewangan at his Kharora residence on Wednesday, demanding promotion of lecturers to the post of principals and proper attention towards Hindi medium schools.
Union president Rakesh Sharma, general secretary Rajiv Verma, district vice president Harish Dewangan met the Corporation chairman and informed him about the promotion pending in the education department for last six years. The delegation also expressed concern over rumours regarding closure of some Hindi medium schools in the state as the state government plans for English medium schools for every blocks. Girish Dewangan gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the Lecturer Union and said that he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
