AAP leaders stage protest at Budha Talab, raising farmer issue

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday staged a demonstration at Budha Talab in protest against state government and central government which, according to AAP, are engaged in anti-farmer activities.

AAP State President Komal Hupendi took a dig at the Center and the state government and said that the farmers of the state are only shocked with the ‘absurd’ measures of these governments.

AAP Kisan Cell president Ishwar Chandel said that the party members staged a massive protest at Budha Talab demanding protection of farmers’ interest.

The government is not able to provide gunny bags to the farmers. Farmers are worried about the gunny bags as well as support price, he said.

AAP Raipur district president Kamal Nayak said they will fight until farmers get justice. Both the governments, whether it is the Congress government in State or the central governments are deceiving the farmers, he said. The state government had promised to buy paddy in 2500, but today they are making an excuse by passing buck on Center. Both the government are trying to come clean by blaming each others, he said.
