A state-level prize distribution function of National Service Scheme will be held at Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Auditorium, Government Nagarjuna Post Graduate College of Science, Raipur on the occasion of National Youth Day on January 12. The programme will start at 12 noon in the gracious presence of State Higher and Technical Education Minister Umesh Patel as chief guest. Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay will preside over the function. Higher Education Department Secretary Dhananjay Dewangan and Commissioner Sharda Verma will also grace the occasion.
Rs 10000 each cash will be presented to the best NSS volunteers while Rs 11000 each will be given to the best programme officers. Institutions will also be awarded on the occasion. The NSS Wing of University Teaching Department, PRSU, has been selected as Best Institute and it will be awarded cash of Rs 20000 while NSS wing of Government Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Basna, has been selected at school level for the cash prize of Rs 20000.
