The Golden Book of Earth containing biography of 101 people doing many inspirational works for the benefit of the country and the society has been published.
The prestigious book carries the inspirational work of former President of USA Donald Trump, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrish, Prime Minister of UK Boris Johnson, President of Israel and Prime Minister of Bhutan among heads of 20 nations. “Finding a place in such a prestigious book is like dream comes true,” said social and environmental activist Vishwanath Panigrahi from Bagbahara in Mahasamund district. It is worthwhile to mention, the inspiring story of Vishwanath Panigrahi has also been placed in the book.
Also, biography of 81 inspiring people at the national level, including Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Delhi Government Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, actor and producer Sonu Sood, has been published.
Panigrahi is active plantation, environmental protection, water conservation, Beti Bachao programme, establishment of Green Care Society, Save Nature, Save Doctor, Save Water Programme, Sweep Brand Ambassador, Master Trainer under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Cleanliness Envoy, Cleanliness Champion, Sanitation Fighter and other social works in Mahasamund, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon and some parts in Odisha and Delhi. Panigrahi’s wife Subhashini Panigrahi distributed masks free of cost to people during Covid crisis.
Inspired by Panigrahi, Kosra Sarpanch Savitri Vinod Diwan constituted Balak-Balika Brigade, Khurshipar Sarpanch Prahlad Bariha offered toilets as gift to the daughters during their wedding.
Cleanliness work and awareness rally of Barbasur was included in the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat’ programme, which was also achievement for the state, he said. Panigrahi is also active in leprosy prevention awareness, AIDS awareness, literacy programme etc.
