Rubber Industry, Durg Range Police, AIIMS, Infinity & Dental Association in quarterfinals


Pre-quarter final matches were played at Netaji Subhash Stadium  on Wednesday under the ongoing Inderchand Dhariwal Memorial Congress Corporate Cricket League, being held under the aegis of Congress Sports Cell.

The first match of the day was played between Rubber Industry and Indian Dental Association. Having decided to bat first, Indian Dental Association scored 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 10 overs. Rubber Industry chased down the target to tie the score for the loss of 9 wickets. As the match entered Super Over, Rubber Industry won it. Vicky, who scored 37 runs in 20 balls, was adjudged Man of the Match.

The second was played between Durg Police Range and CHiPS XI of Chhattisgarh Government. CHiPS XI won the toss and decided to bowl first. Put into bat, Durg Police Range scored a mammoth 158 runs for 5 wickets, with Johnny scoring the highest 50 runs. CHiPS XI could score 59 runs. Sumit Patel was declared Man of the Match for his 49 runs and 1 wicket.

The third match of the day was played between Sarafa-11 and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur. Winning the toss, Sarafa II decided to bat first and scored 64 runs for 7 wickets in 10 overs. Chasing the target, AIIMS achieved the target in 7.4 overs. Anuj Parihar was declared Man of the Match for scoring 30 runs. The fourth and final match of the day was played between the Marble Association and the Infinity Club. Winning the toss, Infinity Club opted to bowl. Marble Association could score 75 runs which was achieved by the opponent team in 6 overs. Saddam, who took 4 wickets and scored 39 runs, was adjudged Man of the Match.
