A Maharashtra court has sent Sameer Khan, son-in-law of Maharashtra Minister of Minority Affairs and Skill Development Nawab Malik, to the custody of Narcotics Control Bureau till January 18. Sameer Khan was arrested in a drug case.
Sameer Khan was underwent medical examination before being produced to the Court and later arrested by NCB after a long interrogation at NCB Mumbai Office. NCB summoned him after discovering an online transition between Sameer Khan and British national Karan Sajnani. NCB suspects the payment was made in lieu of drug.
NCB had arrested Karan Sajnani and two other persons named Shaista Furniturewala and Rahila Furniturewala, a former manager of actress Dia Mirza, with 200 kilograms of banned drug a few days ago. NCB conducted multiple raids in Mumbai after taking custody of Sameer Khan.
