
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel flagged off trucks loaded with paddy and ration at his official residence on Monday. These trucks loaded with ration and paddy departed for Delhi from Raipur to help the farmers staging demonstration. National Students Union of India (NSUI) arranged the paddy and ration along with some cash which were sent for the farmers, said NSUI state president Akash Sharma. Paddy was collected through NSUI’s campaign ‘EK Rupay Daan, Ek Paili Dhaan’ under which a total of 53 tons of paddy and 66500 cash was collected for `the purpose.
Akash Sharma said that campaign was launched as per the wish of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in almost all the villages of the state. Sharma said that other items such as disposal glass, plates, spoon, tea cup, water bottles, oil, rice, pulses and spices were sent to Delhi.
Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, State Civil Supplies Corporation chairman Ramgopal Agrawal, advisor to the CM Vinod Verma, NSUI state general secretary Aditya Bhagat, Nikhil Dwivedi, Amit Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
