No one will forget the day of March 23, from this day, for almost 7-8 months, the activities in the whole country had almost come to a halt as if the whole world had stopped because of Covid-19.
In Chhattisgarh too, all the local trains were stopped from the safety point of view, leaving the general public, who largely dependent on trains, in lurch.
But today when life is coming back on track, local trains should be resumed keeping in mind the problems of daily commuters, according to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Commercial Divisional Manager Shambhu Saha.
According to the data of the Health Department, the cases of Covid-19 are declining considerably and the vaccine has also arrived, in view of which the AAP delegation led by State Secretary Uttam Jaiswal on Wednesday met ACDM demanding operations of local trains.

The senior railway officer told the delegation that they are happy that someone thought about the convenience of general public and he also assured of taking a serious note of the demand.
AAP state media coordinator Azim Khan, Youth Wing Gajanand Lahre, Youth Wing state vice-president Laxman Sen, Raipur district organization secretary Mukesh Dewangan, Jai Prakash Pradhan and women wing members Annu Singh, Priyanka Mishra, Pratibha Seutkar and Roop Singh were present in the delegation.
