Interaction with youth in state level employment fest

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the state level ‘Rozgar Utsav’ at a programme organized at Minto Hall in Bhopal today. Chief Minister Chouhan said that constant efforts will be made to ensure that every hand has work. Youth should work with high spirits, the government stands with them.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts have been made to fix the economy that has deteriorated in the Corona period at a rapid pace. We have paved the way instead of whining over financial stringency, this is also the responsibility of the government and those at the helm. Lack of funds will not be allowed to hamper economic activities. Almost Rs 82 thousand crore has been transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries under various schemes in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a large part of the government’s budget is spent on the distribution of salaries and development works are also done from this budget, but there can be no compromise on this. It is the government’s priority to train the youth according to demand and requirement of the market. Keeping this in mind, economic activities have been promoted in the state through infrastructure, agriculture, food processing, horticulture etc. The work of utilization of minerals and promotion of local products is in progress. More than 100 employment fairs have also been organized in the last few months. The work was started with the aim that one lakh youth get jobs every month and 12 lakh youth get self-employed in a year. Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh will be created with the aim of giving new life to youth by providing them means of livelihood.
Specialties of Madhya Pradesh will bring prosperity
Chief Minister Chouhan said that local skills will be promoted in the state. The lamp used on Deepawali should not come from China. Only the goods manufactured in India should be used and we should work to make the local vocal. The Bagh print of Madhya Pradesh, the sarees of Chanderi, the iron products manufactured by the Agariya community are well-known. Under the “Ek Zila, Ek Utpad”, the government is making attempts to make products and special items of the districts available to the international market. All these efforts are making the path of employment and economic prosperity easier.
Global skill park will impart training to youth
Chief Minister Chouhan said that skill training will be imparted from Global Skill Park in Bhopal to 6 thousand youths in the first year and then 10 thousand youths every year. It will be an international level skill park which is targeted to be built by the year 2022. Its construction which was stalled in the year 2019 has been revived. Arrangements have been made to train youth in the divisional headquarters of the state through model ITI. Old schemes are being re-packaged. Shortage of funds will not hamper these works. All necessary facilities will be provided for investment. Recently, 20 industrial units in the state have given employment to 4 thousand youth. These efforts will continue.
Shram Siddhi Abhiyan
Chief Minister Chouhan said that job cards have been made available to 32 lakh new labourers in the state. Employment has also been provided to about 92 lakh labourers . This work done in the year 2020-21 also became the biggest employment campaign in the history of the state.
Help obtained from self-help groups
Chief Minister Chouhan said that important steps have been taken to improve the economic condition of various sections in the state through employment. The mechanism of manufacturing and selling of materials through self-help groups has been strengthened. About 2.75 lakh new families are associated with about 25 thousand groups. Buffer mein safar, night safaris and development of religious places have provided economic support to people under employment from tourism.
Employment portal will prove to be effective
During the Corona period, 46 thousand appointments were made possible through the Rozgar Setu portal. As many as 35 thousand employers and more than 7 lakh migrant labourers were able to connect on one platform through the portal. The process of filling up about 5 thousand vacant posts of other departments has been expedited along with recruitments in police. Urban and rural street vendors have been provided interest-free loans. The progress made in the urban sector under this scheme in Madhya Pradesh is the best in the country.
Efforts for industrial development
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today employment is the biggest priority. Multifaceted efforts are being made to ensure that the youth get jobs according to their qualification and ability. While the full utlisation of Narmada water is being ensured, industrial progress will be made easier by forming industrial clusters, construction of Atal Expressway in Chambal region. Industries will develop near the expressway.
CM Shri Chouhan interacts with youth and employers
The Chief Minister also interacted with the youth and top employers of various districts of the state virtually. Chief Minister Chouhan also interacted with each and every youth who have got employment, in Dhar, Satna and Shivpuri districts. These include Dhanraj Pyasi, Rani Makwana and Harshvardhini Sisodia. The Chief Minister also held discussion with various employers including Eicher Tractor, Major Desire and Vardhman Group. Some of the youth who have got appointments in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and other places, also shared their experiences. These include Laxmi Bai, Jitendra Dhakad, Yogesh Vishwakarma and Saliya Khan. Welspun Group has employed 703 youth while Vardhman Yarn Budhni has given employment to 652 youth. Other industries have also given opportunities to the youth. Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the youth who got appointment. Employers were also honoured.
Special guest of the programme, Sports and Youth Welfare, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that Madhya Pradesh is the first province in the country, which made the road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh under Atmanirbhar Bharat. Chief Minister Chouhan has worked towards expansion of economic activities and giving more employment opportunities to youth as per the intention of Prime Minister Modi.
MP and State BJP President V.D. Sharma said that a large number of youth have succeeded in getting employment this year according to their merits through 138 employment fairs in the state. This is definitely a big achievement. Apart from this, Chief Minister Chouhan has removed the financial difficulties of lakhs of families by making arrangements to deposit funds in the accounts of various beneficiaries.
It may be noted that in order to provide better livelihood opportunities by providing employment oriented technical skills training to the youth of the state under the Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh campaign, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department has provided employment opportunities to thousands of youths through employment fairs. In this financial year so far, about 1 lakh 45 thousand youth have been provided employment and self-employment opportunities by various departments.
Commercial tax, Finance, Planning, Economic and Statistics Minister Jagdish Deora, Water Resources, Fisheries Welfare and Fisheries Development Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Mineral Resources and Labour Minister Brijendra Pratap Singh, Tourism Culture and Spirituality Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, Head Secretary Caralyn Khongwar, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Sunil Gupta was present.
