CHHATTISGARH: A Special Fast Track Court on Thursday sentenced one Shekhar Jagne to ten-years imprisonment on the charges of raping a minor girl two years ago.
Special Public Prosecutor Morisha Chhattri said the First Fast Trck Special Court Raipur convicted Shekhar Jagne of raping a minor. The incident happened when the girl’s parents were out of home on work.
Victim girl’s father had lodged a complaint that Shekhar had approached him with a proposal to marry his daughter, but he refused, citing the daughter was still a minor. On May 30, 2018, Shekhar sneaked into home of victim, when her parents were out of home, and forced himself on her. The girl also confirmed that Shekhar had raped her.
The Court found him guilty and sentenced him to 10-years, 2-months and 1-year of rigorous imprisonment under Section 376, Section 342 and Section 506 respectively.
