Entire tribal community, Bhunjia tribes in particular, of Chhattisgarh must be proud to know that two of Bhunjia tribes will represent Chhattisgarh at the Republic Day Parade in Delhi on January 26.
Gwal Singh Sori and Ashwani Bai along with the Bhunjia Samaj Chhattisgarh president and government officials of Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh have left for Delhi by regular flight from Raipur.
According to Sori, it is indeed a great honour for Bhunjia tribals as well as Chhattisgarh. He is excited to witness the Republic Day Parade for the first time, which he had been seeing on television. Sori would also raise the issues of Bhunjia tribe during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi he would urge the Prime Minister to issue the status of primitive tribe to Bhunjia tribe.
Both Sori and Ashwani Bai will get an opportunity to interact with President of India Ram Nath Kovid, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda.
The tribal guests will visit Parliament House and Museum and they will enjoy metro ride on January 25. The tribal guests will witness the Republic Day Parade on January 26.
They will attend a function at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 27 and will participate in NCC Rally at Parade Ground, Delhi on January 28.
They will visit historical places in Delhi on January 29 and will participate in a ceremony at Raj Ghat on January 30. The tribal guests and tableaux artists will be welcomed by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at RR Camp, Delhi on January 31. Both guests will return to Chhattisgarh on February 2.
Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste, Government of Chhattisgarh has appointed Sports Officer of the Department C N Bajpayee as a ‘liaison officer’ to manage this trip.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Minister for Tribal and Scheduled Caste Department Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Secretary D D Singh, Director Shammi Abidi and Additional Director Sanjay Gaur congratulated the both.
