A state level virtual Bal Vigyan Congress was organised by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology at School of Studies in Biotechnology, Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur, from January 21 to 23. The programme was sponsored by the National Council of Science Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The main subject for the Bal Vigyan for the year 2020 and 2021 is Science for Sustainable Living. The chief guest of the 28th state level Bal Vigyan Congress was Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology Director Mudit Kumar Singh while special guest was PRSU Vice Chancellor Professor K L Verma.
Singh said that Bal Vigyan Congress provide children a platform to showcase their innovation and creativity in Science. He asked the teachers and district coordinators to motivate children for research activities.
Professor Verma appreciated the programme and said that the topic picked the same. Bal Vigyan Congress state coordinator Dr J K Roy said that 374 projects from 25 districts were presented in the district level Vigyan Congress while 125 projects were presented in the state level Vigyan Congress which was held through virtual mode.
Bal Vigyan Congress state educational coordinator Dr M K Rai announced the names of children selected in the state level vigyan congress.
The children selected in the state level Bal Vigyan Congress are Ganika Kumbhkar of Government H S School Sirsa, Aryan Harlalka of N H Goel World School, Shrishti Soni of Swami Atmanand Government Excellence School Surguja, Sanjana Yadav of Government H S School Pauvara Durg, Shruti Som of Learner English Medium Bilaspur, Muskan Pandey of Government Girls H S School Bastar, Kanhaiya Prasad Rajwade of Government H S School Rampur, Dharmesh of DAV Public School Raigarh, Leena Yadav of Government Adarsh Middle School Mahasamund, Anees Suri of Government H S School Bunagaon, Sarvagya Singh of DPS Jamnipali, Savita of Government H S School Gokulpur, Ayush Sahu of Government H S School Ramanujganj, Akanksha Sahu Sahu of Government H S School Pataud, Vijay Kumar Dhruw of Government H S School Bhakharpara, and Nirmala Yadav of Government H S School Bunagaon. Dr Dipendra Singh proposed the vote of thanks in the virtual programme.
