Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chhattisgarh unit along with farmers staged a demonstration at Budha Talab here on Sunday in protest against anti-farmers laws of the state government and the central government. They also burnt effigy of the governments.
The district and block units of the AAP also staged demonstration at their respective headquarters and submitted memorandum to the local administration highlighting demands of the farmers. The AAP leaders said that neither the central government revoking its three agriculture law not the state government is fulfilling its promises, made to the farmers. AAP Central Zone assistant organisation secretary Durga Jha said that the central government is working for the capitalists. Similarly, state government is betraying the farmers. AAP women wing secretary K Jyoti said that the farmers are facing difficulties in selling their paddy. He demanded to increase the time limit for paddy procurement.
AAP Youth Wing vice president Laxman Sen said that the government should make onetime payment to farmers or else AAP will intensify its agitation.
