In a first of its kind event taking place in the history of Chhattisgarh, a Class V student from Durg district has been granted permission to sit in the class X board examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) Raipur.

According to CGBSE Secretary Professor V K Goyal, the 11 years four months old boy Livjot Singh Arora, son of Gurvinder Singh Arora, had submitted an application to the Board seeking permission to sit in the Class X annual examination 2020-21, commencing from April 4, 2021. The Examination Committee of the Board approved the application after completion of all the formalities.

Goyal said that the boy had to undergo IQ (Intelligent Quotient) Test at District Hospital, Durg. According to the report of the hospital submitted to the Board, the IQ of Livjot, who is studying in the Class V at present, was matching the ID of a 16 years old student. As Livjot cleared the IQ test, the application was presented before the Examination Committee of the CGBSE. The commission granted permission to Livjot Singh Arora to sit in the 10th Board examination.

CGBSE Chairman Dr Alok Shukla expressed happiness over the confidence of Livjot and said that this is, perhaps, the first case in Chhattisgarh when an 11 years old boy is going to appear in the Class X examination.

If the CGBSE Class X examination is held in April this year as per schedule, then Livjot will script history to become the youngest in Chhattisgarh to appear for the 10th examination.

Talking to The Hitavada, Gurvinder Singh Arora, businessman by profession, said that Livjot has been preparing for the 10th examination for last three years. “We claimed for the 10th Board examination for Livjot only when we got sure about his success,” said Gurvinder.

He thanked School Education Principal Secretary and Chairman of CGBSE Dr Alok Shukla who believed in Livjot’s talent and allowed him to sit in the examination.

Sharing more details about Livjot, Gurvinder said that Livjot has students in London. A class III student Vivansh is taking online coaching. Vivansh is now able to teach Class VII students, he claimed. He said that Livjot’s mother Daljeet Kaur Arora is an Abacus teacher and she used to teach students in India and Abroad through online. Livjot is studying in Mildstone Academy, Bhilai.

Mildstone Academy Principal Dr Mamta Shukla said that Livjot has immense talent. “Livjot used to deliver speech for 10 minutes continuously when he was in Nursery and KG. His talent in mathematics evolve in class I. Even we were shocked to see his talent,” Dr Shukla told this newspaper.
