
Chhattisgarh Premier League will be organised at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Naya Raipur, between April 1 and April 18 under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Congress Sports Cell. It was decided after a marathon meeting with Sports Department Director Sweta Sinha on Wednesday.
A delegation of Congress Sports Cell led by cell state president Pravin Jain met with the Sports Director at her office on Wednesday. Sports Cell had submitted an application to the Director seeking permission to host the tournament. The meeting between the delegation and the Director arrived at a consensus that the ground will be allotted for the league from April 1 to 18. The meeting also discussed various other issues related to the success of the league. The Sports Director assured of every support to the league.
Jain said that priorities will be given to cricketing talents coming from deprived class of the society. Teams from rural areas across the state will participate in the league.
